Sky Bike

A fully aerobatic, single passenger flyer designed for low-gravity and capable of speeds of 50 kph. Sky-biking is a competition in the Lunar Olympics.

Sky bikes are operator powered. Navigation is by single-stick control; no instruments are used. The pilot is seated in a semi-reclining position at the bike's center of gravity. The wings are an organic film, only a few molecules thick, which envelope the frame. The sky bike's pedals turn an airscrew, also covered by organic film.

Sky bikes have been kept aloft for more than two hours without landing.
